Payment and Delivery

Stone Pallet Delivery Service

Welsh Stonework are able to offer several delivery options. Unless specified our on-line system provides the cheapest delivery method possible, Depending on distance and weight your is sent using either Pallet service or our own Specialist stone transport with Hiab.

Standard Delivery is 3-5 working days, although we do offer Next day, Timed Deliveries and a Local Pick-up service. Please contact us for more delivery options, or to arrange local pick-up. Please let us know about any access restrictions when you place your order online , also our drivers cannot manually handle products into position.

Pallet Service

Standard orders are sent out via courier service as this is the most cost effective way to send pallets to all of the U.K. & Ireland. All stone pallets are delivered via a tail lift & pallet truck off loading service this will be dropped off to the nearest safe place. Deliveries will be made Monday to Friday between 8.00 am and 5.30 pm. We are unable to give an estimated time of delivery as all deliveries are subject to the couriers’ delivery route . No liability can be accepted by Welsh Stonework for costs caused by late deliveries or for any other reason.

Own Transport

If you require stone delivered on a Hiab, or our shopping cart calculates this as the best rate (usually over 10 tonnes) you will be using our drawbar or an artic lorry. Delivery of your items will usually be made within 7 working days from ordering. Our daily delivery timeslot is 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday, but excluding bank holidays.
Hiab Deliveries are sent on a 6-wheeler hiab, with a trailer on. This vehicle has the advantage of being able to leave the trailer with half the load on somewhere offsite but somewhere close and come on site with the front end and offload half the material. The driver can then go back to the trailer and swap the load from the trailer onto the front unit using the crane, and drive the front unit back to the site to offload the remaining material. The driver would then leave the site and go and pick his trailer up and begin his return journey.

Packaging

All goods are packed on secure wooden pallets or crates wrapped in black plastic shrink wrap with stack stops on top any delivery that is received without any of this packaging must be checked on delivery in the unlikely event that your goods have been damaged please contact us immediately.

Returns Policy

No liability can be accepted by Welsh Stonework for costs caused by late deliveries or for any other reason. Therefore we advise against booking trades for installations until goods have been received. We will accept whole orders back unopened with the original packaging within 7 days from the day of delivery initial delivery cost and the return delivery charge would be covered by the customer.

Any orders returned to us which are not damaged or faulty where no replacement products are requested and a refund required, a restocking fee of 20% will be applicable on standard products and 50% on all manufactured products. We are unable to accept returns of part orders or orders which are surplus to requirements. All orders that are placed with Welsh Stonework will receive Order Acknowledgement via e-mail this would be your contract.
