Stonework & Materials
What is Blue Pennant Stone?
Blue Pennant sandstone is a fine-grained, semi-coursed stone predominantly blue-grey in colour with some brown tones, quarried from the Rhondda Beds of the Pennant series of Carboniferous Sandstones. It is locally quarried in Wales and is an ideal walling stone for any application, providing great decorative appeal and long-lasting durability.
What types of stone walls can you build?
We specialise in various types of stone walls including mortar-bonded stone walling, dry stone walls, garden walls, retaining walls, property walls, conservatory walls and bases (any shape or size), and decorative garden features. We work with natural stone, granite veneer, cultured stone, and imported products.
Can you match existing stonework?
Absolutely. Our experience enables us to match existing brick and stone surfaces for repairs and extensions. We ensure the correct choice of mortar and materials so that repairs blend seamlessly with your existing stonework.
Building & Construction Services
What types of building projects do you undertake?
We handle a wide range of projects including new house builds, barn conversions, stable conversions, mill renovations, farmhouse extensions (single, double, and underground), cottage renovations, historic building restoration, kitchen installations, garage and outbuilding construction, structural alterations, and general building maintenance and repairs.
Do you offer self-build project management?
Yes, we provide comprehensive project management services for self-build projects. Our services can be tailored to manage all or part of your new build. We ensure completion on time, quality workmanship, and help keep your project within budget. We manage everything from concept to completion.
Can you handle structural alterations?
Yes, we are highly experienced in structural alterations including the specification and installation of load bearing RSJs (steel beams), removal of chimney breasts, installation of patio doors and large windows, creation of open plan spaces, loft conversion adjustments, and removal of lean-tos. We keep all adjustments as subtle and discrete as possible while maximising available space.
What plastering and rendering services do you offer?
We provide complete plastering services including interior plastering, dry lining, professional exterior rendering, and lime rendering for traditional buildings. Rendering can be an ideal solution for covering damaged brickwork or finishing new block builds.
Exterior Work & Landscaping
What hard landscaping services do you provide?
Our hard landscaping services include stone paving and patios, driveways (block, flagstone, and gravel), paths and walkways, retaining walls, garden walls and features, standing stones or megalith installations, custom BBQ and dining areas, decking, and comprehensive garden design and construction.
Do you offer free landscape consultations?
Yes! We provide free landscape consultations. We will visit your home or garden and discuss your proposal, offer our expert opinion, and suggest landscaping ideas that could benefit you. Even if you only have the essence of an idea, we will help develop it into something that matches your requirements.
What is the difference between hard and soft landscaping?
Hard landscaping refers to the non-living elements of your garden such as paving, walls, driveways, and stone features. Soft landscaping includes plants, trees, lawns, and soil. We deal with all types of work from soft to hard landscaping, whatever your requirements.
Can you create custom outdoor features?
Absolutely. We specialise in creating custom outdoor features including stone walls, standing stones, water features, custom-built BBQ areas, outdoor dining spaces, and unique garden designs using natural stone. We consult with customers to design features best suited to the location, type of stone, and your specifications.
Maintenance & Repairs
What maintenance and repair services do you offer?
Our maintenance services include brick and stone repointing, brick and stone replacement, cleaning (including graffiti and paint removal), sealant treatments, crack repairs, damp prevention, general building repairs, roof repairs, timber repairs, and property wall maintenance.
How do you clean brick and stonework?
We use chemical cleaning, steam cleaning, and mild wet abrasive blasting techniques. Unlike some companies that recommend harsh sand blasting or water jetting (which can damage surfaces), our experience enables us to apply the best method for each project using both traditional and modern techniques. We can remove paint, graffiti, and restore surfaces to their original condition.
Do you offer garden clearance services?
Yes, we provide competitively priced garden and rubble clearance services in Neath Port Talbot and Swansea. We can clear rubbish and junk from your home, gardens, or workplace, leaving everything clean and tidy. No hassle, no fuss, just fast professional service.
What should I do if I have cracked bricks or holes in my walls?
Contact us for an assessment. Cracked bricks due to movement or holes from relocated piping can be unsightly and allow moisture to enter, causing damp. We ensure the correct choice of materials and provide repairs that blend seamlessly with your existing work, making it hard to spot the repair.

Do you provide free quotes?
Yes, we provide free, no-obligation quotes for all our services. We will visit your property, discuss your requirements, and provide a detailed estimate. Contact us to arrange a consultation.
